Innovative Face Detection instantly identifies faces in the scene and automatically adjusts focus and exposure to ensure beautiful people pictures. The FinePix Z100fd features a red-eye removal function that automatically detects and corrects unsightly red-eye reflections that often spoil flash photos of people. You just frame the shot, and Face Detection does the work, simultaneously and accurately finding up to 10 faces for bright, clear results. During playback of group portraits, you can “Zoom Up” on detected faces and check them one by one. If you find a priceless expression, Face Detection and high resolution are ready to automatically “Crop” and save a beautiful “portrait” of the detected face. Zooms in on a detected face, then crops and saves a “portrait” shot in the camera. No more shots spoiled by blur from camera shake or moving subjects! High sensitivity lets you use a fast shutter to freeze the action in sharp bright detail, while built-in CCD shift image stabilization automatically compensates for camera shake. Composing and viewing photos and slideshows on the spacious 2.7-inch LCD is a real pleasure. And with a 230,000-pixel canvas, it is easy to see photo detail and read the intuitive GUI menus. Micro Thumbnail View Navigate, view and select from up to 100 photos at a time in a 10 x 10 array. The high resolution LCD makes it easy to identify even these micro images. Reinforced Glass Coating Protected by a reinforced glass coating, the large LCD is highly scratch resistant. Wheel Dial Easy control and selection of the convenient functions is right at the tip of your thumb. Swiftly scroll and select anything from Scene Positions to thumbnails.
